Welcome to the Unofficial Scrappy Doo Fan Page

The Mystery Machine

Ok, the webmistress, Gina, has given us a mission. For all of you Scrappy fans out there who feel Scrappy was mistreated and portrayed badly in the first Scooby movie, you might have a chance to help redeem him. Gina has obtained the mailing address of the writer of the first two Scooby movies. Its probably a good bet that he'll be contracted to write the next one. If you want to get involved, his address is below. Write him and let him know how you feel! If you want to, you may also send us a copy of your letter, and we'll post it on the website!

In the later episodes of Scooby-Doo they added a new character to the mix. This character spawned alot of controversy and mixed feelings. The character was the incorrigible nephew of Scooby and his name was Scrappy Doo. This page is dedicated to the true fans of Scooby Doo - those that accept Scrappy as a part of the series.

If you have any pictures of Scrappy that you would like to see up here, or any suggestions for the website, email them to me at leomarth@hotmail.com.

10 ADMITTEDLY MANIPULATIVE (DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YA) REASONS TO STOP HATING SCRAPPY AND DELETE THOSE ANTI-SCRAPPY RIBBONS FROM YOUR WEB SITE:
1. Scrappy is an official part of both Hanna-Barbera and Scooby-Doo lore. Learn to accept this.
2. It wasn't Scrappy's decision to axe Fred, Velma, and Daphne from the show and go to a non-mystery format. Think about it - how could a fictional puppy have made real life decisions? Those decisions were made by people at Hanna-Barbera - not that I'm encouraging you to dislike them instead.
3. Think of all of Scrappy's good traits--like his courage, and...
4. ...And Scrappy is a loyal friend and nephew. He has an unshakable loyalty to his beloved uncle.
5. You love Scooby-Doo, don't you? Well, Scooby loves his nephew. I think if Scooby were real and saw all this anti-Scrappy stuff on the web, he would say, with hurt in his voice, "Love me, love my nephew!" (Or, "Rove me, rove my rephew!")
6. In an out-of-character manner in the recent Cartoon Network parody "The Scooby-Doo Project", the rest of the gang was portrayed as being annoyed with Scrappy. But in the official episodes, they have never shown any signs of lingering resentment towards Scrappy. (Okay, Shaggy did show some annoyance at being dragged toward the villains instead of being allowed to run away, but he was just annoyed for the moment, not constantly. And Shaggy and Scrappy seem rather close in the movie Scooby-Doo Meets the Boos Brothers.)
7. And here we get really manipulative: Scrappy is a puppy. You love puppies, don't you? It's unnatural for humans to hate puppy dogs. Think of your dog when he or she was a puppy.
8. Scrappy has 100% more personality than Fred.
9. Scrappy is a high energy, high protein supplement to your diet.
10. And the best reason of all is simply that hate is bad for you. It eats away at your insides. Learn to forgive-okay, the Bible doesn't say you're obligated to forgive fictional characters, but maybe you'll feel better anyway.
