Dear Cartoon Network:
A man I met over the internet and I are tired of all the anti-Scrappy nonsense. We have started our own Scrappy-Doo page, where Scrappy and his fans are welcome, not assaulted. My upset partner recently notified me that Cartoon Network's Scooby page has a game on it called "Scrappy Stinks".
This is uncalled for. Scrappy haters may be the more vocal sect of Scooby fandom right now, but Scrappy still has his fans, and also people who may not rate him top dog, but still have nothing against him. Scrappy once reigned over the Scooby kingdom; now he's been dethroned, but I am sure one day the tide will turn back in his favor, as soon as others like me and my partner, Tim W., also get sick at all the useless hatred directed against a fictional puppy. Don't people have better things to do with their time than throw slime at Scrappy?
Anyway, I would appreciate both your network and your website become friendly to all Scooby fans, including those who like Scrappy. Don't make us feel alienated or we may stop tuning in. A good start would be by removing the Scrappy Stinks game from the website. A second step would to be if you're going to have a Scrappy marathon in the future, don't give mixed signals by creating out-of-character host segments that put Scrappy down, as was the case in October's marathon with the "Blair Witch" style segments.
I have been so disillusioned and disheartened by my favorite TV shows and movies lately. Please don't add to my disappointment.
Scrappily yours,
Gina V.
