Random thoughts from 20th Century Fox Mexico Theatrical's Marketing Director.
Entry for December 4, 2007

Spending, as I do, over 2 hours every day alone on the car commuting to and from the office, one has a lot of time to ponder on useless stuff, like the lyrics on songs on my iPod. For example, I was listening to John Lennon's masterpiece "Imagine"... what a load of hippie crap! I mean, don't get me wrong, I admired the guy as an artist and everything he stood for, but this song talks about absolute comformity. An idillyc society where no one craves anything, stands behind anything or plans for anything, everyone living for the here and now... sounds cool for a weekend vacation, but maybe it's the animal or the entertainer in me, I love drama, I enjoy challenges and desires, I like the struggle to get something, I love winning something after working hard for it. John's song sounds beautiful and paints a really lovely, poetic picture, but I'd go nuts after a week of "joining" them, so stop hoping, I think I'll pass.

On the other hand, my current favorite line in a song, from Eminem's -These Voices-: "Who are you?", "I'm your m*th*r-f*ck*ng conscience!", imagine having Slim Shady and Dr. Dre as your ID and Super Ego respectively... what a concept!  It's a bit old, but if you haven't had the chance to listen to it, do so (even if you don't really enjoy rap, these guys are a hoot!)
