Random thoughts from 20th Century Fox Mexico Theatrical's Marketing Director.
Entry for February 6, 2008

It’s been a while since the last time I updated my blog. I’ve come up with various themes, but I honestly hadn’t found the time to sit down and write something particularly interesting. By now, quite a few ideas came and went, however something I wanted to share was my visit last week to Fox Studios for a summit concerning the release of our new CG animated film Horton Hears a Who (which by the way looks fantastic!)

For those of you who have known me for a long time, you know it’s always been my dream to work in the movie industry at Hollywood.

Well, this is my second summit, but it is the first time I had the opportunity to roam the studios and let me tell you, it was a dream come true. Even though there were no productions currently going on, the striking writers were picketing outside and I didn’t bump into any celebrities, just the thought of walking the hallways and streets of a Hollywood studio on business was incredible for me. I know most of the people I was with found it inconsecuential, but when you are a real movie buff and you realize the history surrounding a studio, ANY studio, it’s like walking through a living, breathing part of movie history. Now to my next life long dream: to be present at an Academy Awards Ceremony!
