You will need a spring compressor.
with the car off the ground and wheels off.
Front:
remove the bolt at the bottom of the suspension fork. Then remove the bolt that holds the fork to the shock. Remove the fork.
Remove the two bolts that hold the brake line to the shock. then remove the two nuts on top of the strut tower that hold the strut to the tower. If you have a GSR you will need to remove the strut bar.
with the shock/spring out compress the spring. remove the one nut on top of the assembly and dissasemble the unit. obviously re-installation is the opposite.

Rear:
Disconnect the sway bar (makes it easier) remove the bolt going through the bottom of the strut to the control arm. now remove the bolt that holds the control arm to the hub. It is the bolt closest the to the brake. This should allow you to move the control arm out of the way for the bottom of the shock to come off. You might want to remove some of the bolts that hold the abs sensor lines to the control arm to make it easier. On top remove the two nuts that hold the strut to the strut tower.
You should be able to remove the strut now.

with the shock/spring out compress the spring. remove the one nut on top of the assembly and dissasemble the unit. obviously re-installation is the opposite.

Use air tools if you can.
Good luck.
