This movie really seemed interesting from the trailers and when I heard that it was based on William Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew I knew I had to see it. I finally did and I was impressed. This film has the young witty humour, very Clueless like. The cast is well rounded and the movie definately showed off it's creative side. However there are some hit and misses in this movie. Some might find the guidance counselor funny others might think she's psychotic. The same can be said for the father and english teacher. Heath Ledger, the male star in this movie is very good. An unknown actor from Australia in his first big picture in the U.S. and he had a fine showing. Also the female lead, Julia Stiles is a virtual unknown. She also does an excellent job. This movie is very cute and witty. The story is an old one and it's predictable but there are enough original lines and scenes that this movie is saved.
