Awwww, that's all I have to say. Not really, of course. This was a cute, sweet, witty movie. An interesting twist on the classic Cinderella story. This one is "the real story".  By doing this, I must say, that they made the characters much more realistic. The evil stepmother is no longer pure evil, just to be evil. She has motive, a soft-side at times, weaknesses, and the audience is shown her reason for resenting Cinderella. Also, there are no pumpkins or fairy godmothers in this version. Only a kind painter (Leonardo DiVinci of all people) and not a magic dress, just a hand-me-down from Cinderella's mother. Also, the movie was wonderfully cast. Drew Barrymore did a suprising fantastic job. She played all sorts of emotions throughout the movie and pulled them off still being believable. My only complain about the movie are the quick rap-ups and resolutions, which I suppose is to be expected in a fairy-tale-based film. Also a few little lapses in the story like, what ever happened to the blue dress? Still, I recommend this movie. Very cute and entertaining. Even some very funny scenes.
