The classic has returned!!! I don't know what it is about this movie. If I was a foreigner watching this for the first time I think I might view it as ridiculous and just plain silly. But it is SOOOOO American that you just have to love it. Well, atleast I do, being from the U.S. Anyway, this film captures a time period of innocence and just good ol' fashioned fun that we all wish was still around. Unlike most musicals, the songs are actually good. I'll be honest, most musicals are ok, with the exception of the music in my opinion. It's never anything that I would even want to hear outside of the film. Grease is different though. With wonderful songs like "You're the One That I Want" you just can't help but smile and have a good time. And that's another thing that Grease has, that is ESSENTIAL to a movie like this...the cast even seems to having fun!!! There is great chemistry between Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. Stockard Channing also gives a wonderful performance as Rizzo. If you want to go out and have a good time at the movies this weekend, don't see Titanic for the eighth time, don't FOR HEAVENS SAKE!!! see that awful joke of a movie The Man in the Iron Mask, go and see this wonderful energetic classic!!!!!
