This horror film isn't horrible. I thought bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis for the 20 year anniversary of the original Halloween was a nice touch. However, the screenplay, like most horror movies was what was laking. None of characters are developed and the ending is almost completely predictable and the few things that aren't are completely unbelievable. Now, I realize this is a horror film and most of them have a history of being ridiculously unbelievable. However, I think the element that makes a film scary is the feeling that this really could happen. Another complaint is the film's cheesy effects. All in all I'd say this film is a LITTLE above average for a horror movie, but is severly lacking in generic movie standards. |
