I had to see this after I saw the trailer. A role made for Jennifer Love Hewitt, a whore. Oops, did I say that? I'm sorry, but she's one of the worst actresses I've ever seen. I think she and the rest of the Party of Five folks went to the same acting coach. And yet somehow, I still think they all turned out better than her. She couldn't deliver a line naturally if her life depended on it. Having said that, I was also enticed by the fact that Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta, and Gene Hackman had all also signed on to the film.

So, let me break it down. Liotta is pretty good, Hackman is good (in a really gross way), Weaver is decent and Hewitt still stinks. But, since she is supposed to play a bitch, I was not that annoyed. Of course she's good at heart...gag. This show has a lot of cheap humor, i.e. the statue, but it's not terrible. The movie drags a bit and is real predictable. However, somehow I still laughed at parts.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I could've done without Sigourney's body suit. But I think she and Liotta were great on screen together. And although it wasn't a great script, I can see why Sigourney took it, she has to play so many roles in one movie. It's a nice way to showcase your talent. She does an alright job too. Not great, but not bad either.

Jason Lee is decent as Jennifer's lapdog in the movie.  Why anyone would fall for such a ...nevermind, I don't know.  I find it hard to believe and although their scenes together add a bit of quirk, overall it just didn't work.

Hewitt really was the drag of the whole movie. She just can't act and beyond that, her characters dumb antics get old REAL quick.
So, sum up. This movie is okay. It's funny if you don't mind the "Bad guy is good guy" movies. But I wouldn't waste my money on it in the theater.
