This lucky film earns one the worst grades I've given out. Maybe I gave it so low of a score because I had higher expectations. Although, don't you always for terrible movies? How often do you go into the theater saying to yourself, "This will be the worst movie I've seen in a long time," This movie starred Annette Benning, Stephen Rea, Aidin Quinn and Robert Downey, Jr. It was also directed by the same man who directed Interview With a Vampire and The Crying Game. With all this in mind I was expecting a lot from this movie, plus the trailers made it look very interesting. Ok, so I don't really want to completely rip into this movie so I'll just say exactly why it got this grade. The acting was terrible, the story was horrible and the writing was worse than anything. I thought it was stupid, unnecessarily confusing, predictable and had a cheesey ending very Candyman-ish. Horrible movie not worth your time. It would be more fun to stare at a blank screen than see this movie.
