This was a very unique and refreshing movie. The best thing about this film is by far, the acting. I would have to classify this film as drawn out though. I wouldn't call it slow, because by saying that, I would be implying that it was bad in some way. That isn't what I'm saying. It just got kind of old when it took 5 minutes to get one sentence out. Also, there were conclusions that people came to that just came from nowhere. I hope I am not ruining the film for anyone, but as you know Brad Pitt plays Death. The thing that was very odd was how people figured this out. For example when Claire Forlani  figures it out, it's her first guest. Now mind you, beyond acting out of place and a tad mysterious there are no other hints that he is death. Yet, it's the first thing that she guesses. OKAY... Yes, when I am dating a handsome man who is a little odd and I find out he is not who I think he is, the first thing I would guess is that he is death. Um, alright. There are holes like that throughout the film. All in all, the acting saves the show. Wonderful cinematography and a house to die for. I suggest watching it on rent. Grab a jar of peanut butter and enjoy.
