I spotted the biggest problem with this movie in the previews. Yeah, Drew Barrymore looks terrible in the beginning of the film and she does look a lot better later in the film but she still doesn't look good. The idea that she is supposed to go through this great transformation and have her instantly be popular would've been a lot more believable had they done more work on her. Drew Barrymore is naturally very cute but the make-up artists and especially whoever did costumes and hair tried everything they could to hurt her naturally good looks. It makes it distracting to the story that this supposedly beautiful girl looks pretty darn bad AFTER her transformation. Ok, other than that complaint there really is nothing else to mention that's terrible. The movie is a typical romantic comedy, and it's predictable. The acting is fine and the writing does have a FEW witty moments. David Arquette does an excellent job as does Drew Barrymore. It's cute and maybe worth renting but don't go out of your way for it.
