After watching the previews for this movie I was eager to see it. However, the movie wasn't all that wonderful. The thing that really killed this movie was the writing. At first I thought it was just over-acting on Nicolas Cage's part, but when the lines are written, "I am the KING!!!", I suppose that the writers wanted it to be big. Which is fine, as long as it's suitable for the situtation. Unfortunately, it was completely unnecessary and unbelievable. There are also a million holes in the story, like why did the cops show up at the end? Noone called them, and why do they autmatically let Cage off? There's no reason to. You have a man in uniform telling you that he's the bad guy, yet you without even thinking about it ignore the pimp look-a-like and aim your gun at the man in uniform. I'm sorry if you haven't seen the movie and this makes no sense. It just was not a well written movie and that frustrates me. I suppose it's bearable, but there are much better movies out there this summer to watch if you're really eager.
