I must say that I didn't know exactly what to think about this movie when I walked out of the theater. It certainly wasn't what I was expecting, that's for sure! I've never been that big of a Jim Carrey movie fan. I loved him on the t.v. series "In Living Color", but I never liked the overly silly movies like Ace Ventura. I did however like Liar, Liar. I was guessing that this movie would be somewhat like that: true Jim Carrey form, just toned down some. It wasn't though. It was a drama more than a comedy, and the trailers led me to believe that the film would be what happens when he finds out that his life has all been a lie. The movie doesn't do this though. He doesn't find out until the conclusion. The film does pose an interesting question though, but don't look for a lot of laughs. I thought the movie seemed slow at parts, but I must say that the acting was good, the idea was good and there were some interesting thoughts. What it needed was some punch in the dialogue, which I thought it didn't have. All in all, it's an ok movie and it gets better every time you watch it.
