Why do hands always dig in the sand - by Mad(dy)
One day in Sand Land, Thing was walking along the beach, as the sun was sinking on the horizon. It was in these darkening hours that he first saw her. As the sun gently caressed her beautiful tanned skin, her lovely long fingers, which she so gracefully floated upon, like a vision from a dream. Walking closer and closer to her, Thing knew it was meant to be. He plucked a stray dandelion growing along the shore, it was in full bloom, he gave it to her. Suddenly the sky turned purple and the dandelion became a beautiful wand of fluffy swirling magic that floated all around them.
It was just so perect that they were both immediately drawn to eachother and lost in a frenzy of emotions, he said to her "let's dig in the sand and bury ourselves , just as the sand crabs do!"
But it was at this moment he first noticed that upon one of these long slender fingers was a beautiful wedding ring. "WHAT?!" he cried, unable to restrain his despair. "Don't worry", she said, "it's all in the past now, it's over". "You're right about that", he said, " it is over, you're married!" "For god's sakes" she cried "this always happens, I hate that man I married!" "Then why did you marry him?" Thing asked. "It was a mistake, I wish I could turn back the hands of time and unmarry him, and take you instead, it just seems so right." "Oh I know," said Thing, "I feel the same, can we be together forever in this paradise?" "Yes!" she said.
Linking thumbs, they walked together down the beach watching the final stages of the sinking rays of light, burning along the horizon like the passion in their hearts. Finally they could bear it no longer and they interlaced in a loving embrace, which, like a blanket of warmth, surrounded them both until the sun faded and they could be seen no more.
