Meagen put the gas mask on. It felt a little tight, but it was alot better than breathing that toxic gas.
"OK, everybody, it's time to kick some celebrity zombie ass!" Sunny announced. Ricky and Constance opened the doors, and already some green gas was spilling out, but thinned out in the breeze. "Good luck, people!" Sunny said. Ricky and Sunny went in, followed by Meagen and Gary. Scott and Sunny stood guard at the door. Inside, Ricky and Constance parted ways with Gary and Meagen.
The gas was a lot thicker than even Meagen had anticipated. She could see probably 5 feet in front of her, and then all there was was green smoke. Luckily, it looked like Gary knew where he was going, so she just followed him.
SUDDENLY Britney Spears, now a walking corpse, appeared from the fog and attacked Gary, who luckily was fast enough to shoot her first. Britney fell to the ground.
THEN, from behind Meagen, Chris Rock appeared and grabbed her by the shoulders. Screaming, she managed to break free of his hold and then shoot him in the chest. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Good ol' Sparky," she said. They pressed onward.
A few minutes and a few dead celebrities later, Ricky and Constance found a door that was labeled, "Ventilation Regulation".
"Hey, we found it," Ricky said.
It was just then when Constance heard a footstep behind her. She turned around, and discovered that both the Backstreet Boys and N'Sync were behind them, looking ready to strike. Constance managed to shoot a couple, but the rest were coming on too fast for her to get them all.
Ricky pushed her aside and used his flame thrower to engulf the zombified boy bands in flames. Some fell to the floor, others walked away, their backs still on fire.
"What did you think you were doing?" Constance asked. "Are you crazy?"
"I saved your life, and this is the thanks I get?" Ricky replied.
"How do you know this gas wasn't flammable?" was Constance response. "This whole building could've blown up with all of us in it!"
Ricky argued, "But it didn't! Look, we don't have time to argue like this. Now let's get in the room and filter out all this gas."
Ricky opened the door and Constance followed him in, shutting the door behind her. Inside, there was a window that let you view some other room, but they couldn't see out of it because of the gas. Under the window was a machine that regulated the ventilation.
"Let's see here," Constance said, her voice muffled a little by her gas mask. "What's this button do?"
She pushed a button marked, "Environmental Controls". On a little screen next on the machine, the message popped up, "Regulate temperature?"
Ricky pressed No.
The next message appeared. "Change filtering settings?"
Constance pressed Yes.
The screen displayed, "Level of Filtration: Small, Medium, High, Very High, Extremely High, Emergency Level?"
Ricky put the cursor on "Emergency Level" and pressed "Execute".
After that there was a fairly loud sound as the venilators kicked in, working in turbo speed. It only took about 5 minutes before the gas looked like it finally cleared out. They could even see out that window! It was some huge room or hallway on the other side.
"Cool, we did it!" Constance cried in delight. They both took off their gas masks.
The gas had cleared out. "Looks like Ricky and Constance did their job," Gary said as he removed his gas mask. Meagen did the same. It sure felt good without that piece of thick rubber hugging her face.
"So where should we put the bomb?" Meagen asked.
Gary answered, "Let's put it in the most central area, so that it gets the whole building. I think we're close to it."
SUDDENLY, the wall burst open, and the Scream killer popped out.
Not hesitating, Meagen shot the killer in the chest. The killer stopped for a second, but still advanced on them.
Then Gary shot the killer. Still no stopping him!
"It's Danielle," Meagen told him. And considering that the killer just crashed through a wall and survived several shotgun blasts, she was probably correct.
Danielle still walked forward toward them!
"Run!" Gary ordered, and they both fled into two big doors. They opened it and ran inside.
They stopped when they figured out where they were.
"Gary!" Meagen whispered. "We're on stage!"
They both stood on stage, looking at the audience, who were all zombies now. There were hundreds of them! Luckily, they were wandering around aimlessly and they didn't look like they had noticed Gary and Meagen.
"Let's go," Gary whispered. "Quietly."
They walked slowly toward the door on the other side of the stage, careful not to grab any of the zombies' attention. About a minute later, they made it. Meagen pulled open the doors and they both vacated the auditorium. They walked through yet another huge passageway.
"Now where to?" Meagen asked.
"Let me check." Gary went to the wall, where a map of the civic center was located. "Hey, we're in the center of the building! This is the perfect place to plant the bomb!"
Gary turned back to face Meagen, but was shocked. Meagen was standing there, and Danielle was right behind her, still in the Scream costume, ready to strike.
"MEAGEN---!" Gary yelled.
Danielle swung the knife, but was stopped when it hit glass, cracking it.
Meagen spun around and screamed. What happened? She turned again and ran to Gary, but she was slammed into another glass wall.
"Gary!" Meagen cried.
She slowly realized what was happening. The entire section of the passage had turned into a virtually invisible maze of plexi glass, probably as some weird security procedure.
"Try to find a way around!" Gary ordered.
"I'm trying!" Meagen explained. "I can't see where this wall ends or begins!"
One of her hands holding her shotgun, she felt her way around with her free hand. She made it past a couple corners, but she still just couldn't get to where Gary was.
Meagen was startled by another sound of a crack. Danielle had almost broken through the glass wall in front of her!
Meagen backed up into a real (not glass) wall. She noticed that there was a window next to her. She went up to it and was surprised to see on the other side the ventilation room, with Ricky and Constance making out inside!
She pounded on the window, screaming, "Constance!! Ricky!!" The window must've been soundproof, because they didn't notice her.
Danielle busted through the glass wall, advancing on Meagen. Meagen tried to shoot her, but she was out of shells.
"Shit!" she said under her breath. She ran to the other side of the wall, where an emergency axe was located. She took it, turned around, and attacked Danielle. Danielle dodged, but Meagen's second swing got her in the shoulder. Still no stopping Danielle! She pulled the axe out of her shoulder and threw it, narrowly missing Meagen's head.
Meagen ran back to the busted glass wall and picked up some pieces of shattered glass and threw them. Most of them missed, but one managed to get lodged in her stomach. STILL NO STOPPING HER!!
