Scream 3 is scheduled to be out on February 4, 2000.
Apparently the plot will center around the making of the movie STAB 3, and all mayhem breaks loose again..

Scream 3 will be the last in the series, at least that's what Kevin Williamson, the writer of Scream, says. But I wouldn't be surprised if Dimension pushes for a fourth installment. There have been all kinds of "last chapters" that turned out to have yet another installment (examples: "Freddy's Dead", "Friday the 13th IV: The Final Chapter", and even "The Douglas Murders 3!")
