WHAT DEVON'S BEEN WORKING ON?

"A COOL DRY PLACE" has already been flimed and its cast included actors like Vince Vaugh, Monica Potter and Joey Lauren Adams. This movie is about a lawyer (Vaughn) whose wife (Potter) walks out on him and their young son. Vaughn and the son leave for rural Kansas where his character falls in love with Joey Lauren Adams. Problems occur when Potter returns wanting her son back. Devon Sawa plays the younger brother of Joey Lauren Adams' character. (no release date yet) .

"IDLE HANDS" is being describe as a Scream type flim that has Devon playing a high school student whose hand is possesed by some sort of evil entity. The cast for this movie includes Vivica A. Fox as a Druid priestess who sets out to stop this evil entity, Cathy Moriarty, Dennis Quaid, Jessica Alba and Elden Henson. (no release date yet)

"S.L.C. PUNK!" has already completed fliming and its cast included (besides Dev), Matthew Lillard, James Duvall, Adam Pascal, Jennifer Lien, Mike Goorjian, Summer Phoenix and Annabeth Gish. This is an independent movie from writer and director James Merendino.The plot is about a humorous evaluation of a punk revolution that occured in Salt Lake City in 1985. I'm not sure what Devon's role is in this movie but I've read that he got into the whole punk scene by donning some green spikey hair. Sony which owns the U.S. rights to this flim plans to show it at the 1999 Sundance Flim Festival.

"AROUND THE FIRE" is a story about a boy named Simon (played by Dev) who despite being raised in an upper class Mahattan family is still haunted by the mysterious circumstances surrounding his mother's death. His father (Bill Smitrovich) a high powered businessman goes on to marry a women named Lauren (Lisa Burgett) whom Simon suspects had an affair with his father beforehand. Eventually, Simon gets sent away to boarding school he meets Andrew (Eric Mabius) who introduces him to marijuana and LSD. Simon thus gets involved with a bunch of very free spirited people who spend the better half of their time following musical festivals.
