Devon Edward Sawa was born September the 7th, 1978 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is probably best recognized as the human version of Capser in the movie that starred Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman. Even though he only appeared briefly at the end of this movie, it helped give his career a boost. Ever since he has appeared on countless magazines covers (most notable all those BOP & Tiger Beats type of mags). And more amazing he apparently receives 5000 letters a week! He even occasionally has the odd fan show up at his Vancouver, B.C. house where his parents, Ed and Joyce Sawa, help turn them away. Note: Anyone planning a visit to the Sawa residence should know that Devon probably won't be there since home these days is found in Los Angeles.
Devon is the oldest of the three children in his family. He has two younger siblings, brother Brandon and sister Stephanie. When he is in town (Vancouver), he enjoys hanging out with his friends playing sports, going to parties and just doing regular stuff. Devon says most of his friends don't care about Hollywood or about his latest movie projects. They also don't grill him about the famous costars he has had but occasionally they will say, "Get me a part! Get me a part!" when hearing about a movie he will be in.
EXTRA: For those who don't know, if you look closely enough on one of Devon's shoulders, you will find a tattoo of a little red and black devil. If you look at his ears, you will also noticed that he is pierced.
