Fushigi Yuugi!One of my favorites,it has a great storyline,great character designs.It's about this young girl named Miaka who got transported into a book,fell in love with a guy named Tamahome(Ick.)and became the Suzaku No Miko.And during then,the East was going in a war against the West,Suzaku against the Seiryuu.Basically,it's a love story,add in some spice of action and you get a really great anime.One of the all time favorite for women because of how guy's are drawn(Heh.^_^).
