These 1983 pictures were taken in Detroit at the Omni Center. On this night I was armed with 15th row seats and a 14 inch lens. By a
box-office accident, many people had to be seated in folding chairs that were
hastily assembled just before show time. I ended up in a seat that was so
close to the stage that my knees literally touched it. My lens would have
been perfect for the 15th row, but from my 'new' vantage point, it was too
much. Of course, Neil noticed this and during the show asked me if I had "a
camera or a telescope?" At one point he looked directly into my lens and
winked, and at another he turned his back to me for a bold view of his other half. On my inspired mission to seize All Moments Neil, both of those views appear on this web site.
