BURNSIDE

This is one of the stages that I kind of like, but not really.  It's actually a real skatepark.  It's full of quarterpipes and pool-like things.   There's not much to say about the stage, it's too small to have much to explain.   This is the second competition, where you skate against everyone else, like in Chicago.

Contest 2: Burnside, Portland - This is the final contest before you make your way to the skate mecca that is San Francisco.  The rules are the same as the first contest.  Five judges, three runs, ten competitors, three medals.   This familiar spot under Oregon bridge has some killer lines that make for huge points, so get creative and bust out the combos that'll get you the gold.

TAPES

There are no tapes in this stage, go crazy and try not to smash your face on the concrete.

Strategy:  There are no tapes in this stage, it is another competition, like the Skate Park in Chicago.  I can get over 100,000 points, which is well over what you need to get gold.  The following strategy is what I do, you can stay in the bowl or something if it works for you.  First, when you start in the strange tiny bowl-thing, Fastplant up to the left, and grind.  Stick in a flip trick at the end to get up your Special Meter.  Head towards the square-shaped pool, and go off the quarterpipe that is attached to the outside of it, the one that curves up to the left.  Do a trick to ensure your Special Meter to be full.  Go off the fubnbox thing that has the double-up arrows, and do a Special Move over the halfpipe.  If you have a back- or front-flip, do that, or the Kickflip McTwist.  If you are Rune Glifberg, do the Christ Air, hold it and rotate it.  To get some points, do that another time.  Once you get bored with that, go over the dirt "Twinkie" on the ground.  Go up the wall with the arrows on it, and do a Signature Move (something like a Backflip or Kickflip McTwist), it will sometimes (I haven't quite figured out a pattern) let you grind the coping on the top.  Grind that and do tricks in between.  Do other stuff to get points until time is up.
