STEP 3The headpiece, ears and neck were one piece and slipped on like a hood. J.M. here applies the first of the five facial prosthetics to Divoff. The order of the pieces: lower lip, upper lip, a wraparound piece consisting of the cheeks and chin, the nose and then the forehead. They were all blended off around the edges of the hood. The two horns would be added last. All the appliances were glued down with 355 medical adhesive which is no longer available and is considered the Holy Grail for LA makeup FX artists. J.M. hoards his stash under lock and key and will carry the combination to his grave.
