seventeen:What was your highschool experiance like?
drew:I went to really small places where the kids were mixed up. In 6th grade I went to class with seniors. There were only sixty-five in each of the schools I went to-Cal Prep and Stoneridge. It was just a real eclectic mix,but it was nice. I found the forum hard, but I love education. I just think it is so important to keep learning,even when your out of school. I dropped out,which I wouldn't recommend at all.
Did you go through a geeky stage like Josie does?
yeah,I was overweight and awkward and I had braces and I felt like I didn't fit in to anything,whether it was my clothes or my skin. I really like when I get to play Josie in the flashbacks,when this girl was really in high school. That's my favorite.
Thats when you wear the braces?
Oh,yeah. And Josie still has pimples when shes older but knows how to cover them up a little. I'm obsessed with skin,totally. I wish I had flawless skin. I feel a zit coming in and I'm kindof upset about it.
What does Josie discover when she goes back to high school?
She thinks it's going to be different and it is exactly the same,and she sortof has to rework it so that this time it doesn't hurt her as much. There's no formula> It's tough,high school.
I wouldn't revisit it.
