What's up new breakers? The 6-step is the easiest move I can think to start with, it is not easy to do it is just more easy to learn, it needs allot of practice to perfect. I will do my best to describe this move if you have a better description please send it to me. I will make this explanation as simple as I can. This move is for going counter-clockwise, just swich Left and Right for Clockwise.
STARTING OFF
Start with your butt facing the floor and just a few inches from the floor, your hands placed slightly behind you and your feet in front of you shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent. The only thing touching the ground are your hands and feet.
1) Next cross over Right leg over your Left leg and place it slightly in front of your Left leg..
2) Bring your Left leg back and further to the Left, and lift your Left hand in the air (This is so it does not get in the way of your legs) your Right leg is still where it was in step 2.
3) THIS IS THE TRICK PART. Next slide your Right leg behind you and place your Left hand back on the ground ( Your Left hand will be placed were your Right foot was). You will now be facing the floor, your legs behind you spread out in a V shape and your hands in front holding you up. Make sure your legs are BEHIND you, Not in a standing position if you are almost standing you will not be able to finish.
4) Now bring your Left leg through to where your Right hand is, IMPORTANT===>While you do this move your Right hand out of the way it is best to put your hand in the air.
You are now left in an odd position and will have to practice going from this step to the next as often as you can, this is where people make it look sloppy. Making a 6-step look sloppy is just as bad as messing up on the foot work. PRACTICE that's all you need!
5)Now cross your Right leg over your Left leg and place your Right hand, which is still in the air, just behind where your Right foot was.
And finally...
6)This is the last step and as just as easy as the first. Slide your Left foot forward so it is on the left side of your Right foot. Now you are in the starting position and ready to start again!
TIPS
1) Practice! Practice! Practice!
2) Remember the steps, there are 6 steps hence the name.
3) If this way does not work for you play around with it and find which way works for you, then if you don't mind, send it in to Breakdance 4 Ever to help others!
4) Take it slow at first. This move like all "Down Rock" moves take allot of arm strength, you don't need to lift weights and all to do this move just take it one step at a time and you will get it
