Windmill

WINDMILL

WINDMILLS - the infamous windmill...doesn't everyone wanna know about this move. first time I saw it, I knew I had to learn it. well I got my windmills down pretty well but my transition from one to another suck. o well...believe me, this move takes MADD PRACTICE, and you mite go thru a bit of pain. two ways to get into the mill: PART 1 - (on your back) [counter-clockwise] most ppl will tell you this is the wrong way to start off a mill...they're rite ... however, with a lot of practice, u can still pull it off pretty well. first, lie on your back. now for those of you who have ever seen "Booker T" from WCW in one of his matches...this is the thing that he does to get up when he's down on the mat. swing your right leg in a counter clockwise motion...as soon as your right leg is 90 degrees or so perpendicular to your body, your left leg will naturally raise and sorta follow the motion of your right leg. once your right leg gets close to the floor swing your body to your right and stab your hands into your gut. now here comes the tricky part (the transition between one mill to another). push with your hands almost like your doing a cricket/jackhammer and swing your left leg under your right. naturally if you have enough momentum, you should end up on your back ready for another round of what you've just done.

PART 2

- (from the handglide position) [counter clockwise] this is the correct way to do a windmill, and it seems weird at first when you do it if you have just finished mastering the other windmill above. first, start from the handglide position (left elbow in your gut, right hand to your side and your head is looking to your right). now raise your right leg as high as you can but still keeping your body in the hand glide position. after this, lift your left leg high in the air and swing it under your right leg as hard as you can. this should make you roll onto your upper back. from here, you should try to roll back into the handglide position again, and push off for another rotation.

This description may not be completely accurate however b/c I’m still working on this mill. If you have another way of doing this move, send it in so people will get a chance to understand it better.
