| Green-skinned and foul-smelling, the Rodian always wanted to be a bounty hunter; he just went after the wrong bounty one day at the Mos Eisley cantina. Like others of his species from the planet Rodia in the Tyrius star system, he had large multifaceted purple eyes, spines on the ridge of his skull, and a tapirlike nose. Bounty hunting is a noble proffesion among Rodians, and he was taken under the wing of the Diollan bounty hunter, Spurch "Warhog" Goa, who eventually brought him to Tatooine. Greedo applied for a position with crime lord Jabba the Hutt, who already had several othe Rodian henchmen. Greedo had had run-ins with smuggler Han Solo and his companion Chewbacca before, so there was little love lost between them. At first Jabba awarded Greedo an exclusive contract on Solo's head. But a nervous Greedo let the Corellian walk away from two encounters, after which Jabba opened up the hunt and raised the bounty. More determined than ever, Greedo confronted Solo in the Mos Eisley cantina. The two exchanged words, and once again Solo promised to pay Jabba back for the spice shipment he had to drop when Imperials closed in on him. It was too late, Greedo said, barely squeezing the trigger on his blaster efore Solo fired back, killing him. Greedo's death wasn't totally for naught. The bartender, Wuher, ground up Greedo's body and used it in a potent new liquor.
