Once a gunner for the Empire, Captain Valance's promising career was ended when a Rebel attack torpedoed his emplacement.
Left on Telos-4 medical station to die, Valance was instead given cyborg implants and survived. No longer able to fight for the
Empire, the bitter man became a bounty hunter, leading a cadre of disenfranchised pirates and smugglers. After the destruction
of the first death star, Valance attempted to track down Luke Skywalker and his Rebel friends, but subsequently gained respect
for the young jedi-to-be. Later, while protecting a Rebel, valance was killed in a duel with Darth Vader. He could have been
Dengar his brother.
