EARTH 2





Julia: "My mission for the Council was clear when it began back on the space stations. As a doctor, I was the perfect choice to watch this group of families seeking a cure for their sick children. Without Council clearance, we escaped the stations and traveled 22 lightyears to this new planet. We crashed thousands of miles from where the other colonists will land and now have to journey across territory full of hardship and danger. The sick boy was taken by creatures who live underground. They healed him, but they also changed him, made him a link between their species and humans. I have a Council contact here; we meet on virtual reality. The Council plans to colonize the planet itself and believes it needs to control the special boy. My mission is still clear; the only problem is me. I have been changed by this place, too.; I have become part of the group, in spite of myself."



Julia: "It's been 49 days since we crashed. It amazes me how we've adjusted to life on this strange new planet. Everyday has become a mirror of the last. We travel, we set up camp, try to catch some rest, then we wake and travel again. And now everyday I have to guard my secret."

Julia talks to Reilly in VR, and he continues asking for the group's location. He reminds her of her loyalty to the Council.

Julia: "I'm Dr. Julia Heller. I'm a member of the Eden Project. And to this group, I'm the physician. But 22 lightyears away, back where I came from, back on the space stations, I'm something else. I'm a patriot to the Council. The Council is in my blood. My mother was on the Council's Board of Regions since before I was born, and I was taught to put the Council's goals before all else. With each day, against my better judgement, I grow more convinced of how much this group needs me in order to survive. And the war inside me intensifies."

Julia again talks to Reilly in VR. She tells him that she thinks she would make a better link between Terrians and humans. She says that she could inject some of Uly's DNA into her own bloodstream, so the Council won't have to use Uly. He agrees to the plan, but tells her to be careful.



Julia eventually finds Uly and tells him that there's a test she can do to see how Terrian-like he is. She tells him it must be a secret, sedates him, and then removes some spinal fluid.



Julia injects herself with Uly's DNA and eventually this, combined with the stress of being a spy, causes her to fall apart. She betrays the group, kidnaps Morgan, and tries to kill Devon. She also sees a Terrian who seems very upset with her. The group finds out what she's doing and gets her to betray herself in VR.

Julia: "I am Dr. Julia Heller, physician to the Eden Project. Patriot to the Council. Since we crashed on this planet, a war has raged inside me, between my two allegiances. I gave in out of fear and curiosity. I've done things I shouldn't have. I saw my dark side, and it was more frightening than I ever imagined."

The next day, Julia awakens in a tent. There is hardly any equipment in the tent, and no one else is present. She walks out of her tent and finds herself in the middle of a forest. She has been abandoned.
