Dark Skies was a series that I really liked...it combined past reality with fiction to form a conspiracy
theory that was world class.
Its main characters were John Loengard and Kimberly Sayers, two idealistic young people who moved to Washington DC in the hopes of making a difference.
John eventually got recruited by Frank Bach to join a top-secret group called Majestic 12. This group investigated alien phenomena and made sure that it was not taken seriously, although aliens were living among us and had been since the Roswell Incident. Majestic 12 called them the Hive.
Kim went to work for Jackie Kennedy...
Before long the aliens infected Kim.
John abducted her and found a way to remove the alien, although she was left with some residual effects.
