LAMONT
DOZIER
As a member of the prolific writing team,
HOLLAND,
DOZIER, HOLLAND, Lamont Dozier amassed enough hits to retire
very comfortably at a very young age, but Lamont Dozier was also a singer
in his own rights and had a couple of memorable R&B hits, including the
unforgettable "Trying To Hold On To My Woman".
He began as a member of a vocal group who called themselves, the Romeos and
then the Voicemasters. But the recognition that he long sought in the
music world came as a songwriter with the brothers Holland. He also
was instrumental in securing a recording contract for
THE
ORIGINALS.
