Even though Tim wanted to take the entire set home with him, Disney is shipping it to Florida, intending to display it at the Disney MGM theme park in Orlando. Tim was able, however, to keep the Tool Time set which he will use at his speed shop. He told People Weekly, "I had to buy a garage for it. I don't know what I'm going to do with all this stuff!" Besides the Tool Time set, Tim took a miniature sculpture of the HI set and some set pieces (he hasn't elaborated on which ones exactly).
Pat told ET she got to keep some of her favorite Home Improvement mementos. "They let me. I didn't sneak it out or steal it. I took the army mule I got in the episode where my father died that Polly Holliday gave me and I took a teapot that's been on the set forever that was given to me in the second year, in the first show that Polly Holliday did. And then there's the chicken pitcher, you know, that we always poured the orange juice out of."
Zach and Taran also were able to take some props. Taran said at a TV Guide/Yahoo chat that he took a 427 Cobra model car, athough that wasn't his first choice. "I wanted to take one of the chairs but they wouldn't let me. But I took one of the model cars that was behind the couch. And I actually took the 427 Cobra, which is a car I want to get when I'm older."
