The big news this year is Jonathan Taylor Thomas' decision to leave the show. Says co-executive producer Laurie Gelman, "His delivery is always perfect. He's an actor you can always count on to deliver a line exactly the way you heard it in your mind. From a writer's point of view, it doesn't get any better than that." How will he leave? Randy and girlfriend Lauren will apply for a rain-forest study program in Costa Rica. She's accepted and Randy bids her farewell, then finds out he got in too. As for the rest of the Taylors, Tim outfits a van as rolling hardware store so he can give something back to the community. He tools around fixing bikes and sharpening skates, etc. Big news: The paint-mixer machine can also make up a nice, cold smoothie. And Brad's soccer prowess gain the attention of a British team owner who trys to recruit him. Dilemma: Go pro or go to college? The cast also made thier now annual raod trip. This year's trip: Kilewater, California for river rafting.
