Our first several CeleBabes of the Week are being determined by the poll at the old site. Pretty Sandra Bullock tied for first in the Overall category in that poll, and is first up by virtue of the alphabet.

Sandra had several parts before shooting like a rocket to major stardom after her part in SPEED in 1994. It wasn't exactly an overnight success, though, as she'd had major roles in other pictures before then, including DEMOLITION MAN, THE THING CALLED LOVE and an overplayed schlock-filled LOVE POTION #9 (playing on TBS, TNT and Comedy Central seemingly continuously), as well as starring in the doomed TV series version of WORKING GIRL. Since then, she's shown her brains as well as her beauty as an actress, a producer, a writer and a director. She's made a splash with big hits like THE NET, HOPE FLOATS and PRACTICAL MAGIC. The versitile Ms. Bullock combines girl-next-door beauty with intellect and skill to make a devestating package. She has no less than five feature films coming in 2000, including the already released 28 DAYS.
