The day was bright and sunny. The rays of the sun penetrated the thick curtains of Chateau des Reves making it seem lively instead of gloomy and scary. Greta, the princess of the castle, opened her eyes to the beautiful spring day. She smiled inwardly and outwardly after realizing that she was not alone.

Eric, her best friend, was seated at the edge of her bed with a flower in his hand.

"Good morning Greta," Eric smiled, handing the lily to her. Greta pushed herself up into a seated position. She took the lily from Eric.

With a squeak the door swung open as Kurt gracefully slipped in, despite his disablility. He carried a tray of food, fresh flowers, and hand cream.

"It is about time Kurt. Are you aware of the time I have been waiting for you?" demanded Princess Gina. Kurt limped over to her.

"I am sorry your Highness, but I had to fetch eggs for the hens today," Kurt explained. He placed the silver platter on an antique desk. Princess Gina analyzed his explanation before sitting down to eat her breakfast.
