This Kiss

~ Written by Mandy ~

Greta was in her bedroom in Paris staring out the window. Nothing was going right in her life right now. She had given up on searching for the answers to her mother's death because she and Eric had come to a dead end and she was having deepening feelings for Eric. Tears were welling up in her eyes and she began to cry silently. She was too deep in her thoughts to notice Eric watching her from behind. Greta was still in her night gown and her hair was a bit frazzled, but she still looked beautiful to Eric. "Greta, how'd you sleep?" Eric asked her. Greta wiped the tears from her face and cleared her throat. "Oh, Eric I didn't know you were awake. I slept fine." Eric knew something was wrong with Greta. He could hear it in her voice. "Greta, what's wrong? Is something bothering you about your mom?" As soon as the subject was brought up, Greta broke down. Eric took her in his arms as Greta cried softly. After awhile, Greta calmed down enough to talk to Eric. "Now, tell me what's got you upset," Eric said sitting down his bed motioning for Greta to sit next to him. "I'm just under alot of stress right now. It's mostly about my mom. I mean, we don't know anything about her death. What if -she was ---murdered?" Greta shuddered at the thought. "I'm sorry Greta. I know how much this hurts you. I wish I could just give you all the answeres you need." Eric put his hand on her tear stained cheek and added in barely above a whisper, "I wish I could take away all your pain." Eric and Greta locked eyes. Eric inched forward and Greta brought her lips to his. The feeling they felt was electric as Eric massaged his tongue against hers. As out of breath as they both were neither wanted to stop. "Greta," Eric said breathing heavily. "Yes?" Greta asked leaning her forhead against his. "I have a confession to make," Eric said nervously. "What is it?" Greta pondered. "You know that we're great friends and I'd do anything for y- well what I'm trying to say is, I've had these "more than friends" feelings and thoughts run through my mind and I like you alot." Eric finished not so sure what she'd say. Greta just stared at Eric in disbelief. Eric saw the look on Greta's face and assumed the worst. "Um....oh god I feel stupid. Greta, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to embarrass you. I'd better go," Eric said about to open the door. "No Eric, don't leave not yet. Not until you hear what I have to say," Greta said. Eric turned back around. "Eric, you didn't embarrass me. Don't be sorry either because I have the same feelings for you as you do for me," she said. "Oh thank god. I was scared that you'd hate me or something," Eric said walking over to Greta wrapping her in a bear hug. "Now that that's settled, let's finish what we started," Eric suggested. "Uh? I don't seem to remember what you're talking about." Greta said laughing. "Maybe I can refresh your memory," Eric said leaning in for a kiss. "It's all starting to come back to me now," Greta joked and kissed Eric again. And this time, they didn't stop.
