Eric & Greta Quotes

(Greta tells Eric about her time in the bayou)

Greta - I ran away to the bayou to hide. And then Bo came down there and he got me to open up and trust him. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably still be in the bayou with mud all over my face.

Eric - And covering up such a beautiful face. I can't imagine.

Eric - And what about you? Have you ever been in love?

Greta - No, not really. But I know when the time comes for me to say those words "I love you"..... I'm gonna mean them.

Eric - (to Greta) You deserve someone just as innocent and just as honest as you are.

(Eric is behind the wheel as he and Greta drive through the Paris countryside)

Eric - I should've taken a crash course in reading French road signs.

Greta - (laughs) Just remember that A-R-R-E-T means "Stop". That's the important one.

(Still in the car driving through the country)

Eric - If Stefano hadn't stopped those two [Princess Gina and John] from running off together, our lives would be completely different.

Greta - Yeah, but look on the bright side. If things would have worked out between the two of them, I never would've met you.

(Greta smiles at him. Eric gets distracted by her smile and almost runs the car off the road)

(Greta and Eric are still in the car driving)

Eric - I wanna stop on the way back and get some pictures of you, okay?

Greta - (smirks) Forget it!

Eric - Why?!

Greta - 'Cause! You're used to photographing high-fashioned models.

Eric - So what! I'll take natural beauty any day.

Greta - I'm really glad that you haven't let Nicole destroy your life.

Eric - Well, I've been lucky. I've had a good friend.

(After reading an old letter addressed to her from her mom, Greta is saddened by it)

Greta - I don't think I ever want to be in love.

Eric - Now why do you say that?

Greta - Because I believe that love is what killed my mother. She either died of a broken heart because she couldn't be with the man she loved or Stefano found out she was in love with John and he made her pay for betraying him.

(Inside the castle in Paris, Greta is very scared and jumpy over all the strange noises she's been hearing)

Eric - Okay, what I want to know is - how did you face the alligators and the water mocasins and all those creatures in the bayou but you get all jumpy in a haunted house?! Oh, did I say haunted?

Greta - (after looking at the map of the castle) The first room I want to explore is my mother's room. We might be able to find something that will, I don't know, tell us about her life and how she died.

Eric - Well, that's good but which one of the four hundred thousand rooms is hers?

Greta - Probably the biggest one!

(Eric jumps out of a room holding a sword, scaring the living daylights out of Greta)

Greta - (after getting over it) What's in there?

Eric - It's a dining room.... and it's bigger than my mother's penthouse!

(Eric looks at the sword he's still holding)

Eric - In fact, the table's so big, I think they might use this as a butter knife.
