Honey Ryder   

The first ever Bond girl, Honey Ryder emerged from the sea in a skimpy white bikini singing "Underneath the Mango Tree", and set the standard for all Bond girls to follow. In Dr. No, Ursula Andress pouts her way to perfection as she guides Bond through Dr. No's island.

Sylvia Trench

The first of Connery's conquests as 007, in Dr. No, he meets Sylvia Trench (played by Eunice Gayson) across the card table. Her love of games comes to the fore when she later appears playing golf in his hotel room.

Tatiana Romanova   

From Russia With Love's tempting seductress who is used to lure Bond into a SPECTRE trap, Tatiana Romanova works as an office clerk in the Russian cypher department. Daniela Bianchi (who placed 2nd in the 1960 Miss Universe pageant) is beautiful and trusting as Bond's love interest, whom he endeavours to take safely back to England with her "dowry" - the Lektor decoder.

Jill Masterson   

Shirley Eaton made herself a household name after her memorable appearance as Jill Masterson in 1964's Goldfinger. The image of her golden body became an icon of the sixties after appearing on the cover of Life magazine. Auric Goldfinger's paid escort, she faces his wrath after helping Bond to foil his money winning card scam and dies from skin suffocation from being spray painted gold.

Tilly Masterson   

Tilly Masterson (played by Tania Mallet) is Jill's sister who takes it upon herself to seek revenge for the death of her sister. Following Goldfinger to Switzerland, she attempts to assassinate the nefarious villain with a single rifle shot. However, her accuracy, and her car, let her down when she 'runs into' Bond in his Aston Martin DB5.

Pussy Galore   

Athletic, husky-voiced and ridiculously named, Pussy Galore is Goldfinger's personal pilot. Strongly played by Honor Blackman, Pussy is a memorable Bond girl with a dislike for men. With her team of female pilots (Pussy Galore's Flying Circus), she helps to foil Goldfinger's plan to break into Fort Knox by replacing the canisters of deadly gas she was supposed to spray around the gold reserve with a harmless substitute.

Domino Derval   

The mistress of SPECTRE's number two (Emilio Largo), Domino Derval is played by the beautiful Claudine Auger, a former Miss France. In Thunderball, Domino betrays her guardian when Bond informs her that Largo was responsible for her brother's death. She then helps 007 track down two missing nuclear devices and foil SPECTRE's plan.

Fiona Volpe   

Dangerous, deadly, but incredibly sexy, Thunderball's Fiona Volpe is a strong, self-willed SPECTRE operative. Sent to put an end to Bond's interference, Fiona (played by the enchanting Luciana Paluzzi) refuses to give in to Bond's masculine charms, but meets a sticky end when she is accidentally killed by one of her own men.

Patricia Fearing   

A trained masseuse working at the heath club visited by Bond, Patricia Fearing (played by Molly Peters) soon submits to 007's amorous advances. In Thunderball, she unwittingly puts Bond into a dangerous situations by strapping him to "the rack". He repays her well, however, with a massage with a mink glove.

Aki   

007's Japanese guardian angel, You Only Live Twice's Aki saves Bond's life on more than one occasion. Played by Akiko Wakabayashi, and driving a Toyota 2000GT convertible, Aki lures 007 into Tiger Tanaka's secret headquarters with considerable ease. Unfortunately, she meets an untimely end when a ninja assassin misses his target.

Kissy Suzuki   

Played by Mie Hama, Kissy is the first girl who Bond marries, albeit as a cover, in You Only Live Twice. A Japanese Ama girl who makes her living diving for shells, she also works for the secret service and assists 007 in his search for SPECTRE's hidden rocket launching base.

Tracy Draco   

Perhaps one of the strongest of all Bond girls, Tracy Draco is also the only one James fell in love with. In On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Tracy (played by Avenger's star Diana Rigg) wins Bond's heart and he asks her to marry him. Sadly, the new Mrs. Bond is gunned down by Irma Bundt, Blofeld's sinister henchwoman, just minutes after the wedding.

Plenty O'Toole   

Although she doesn't last long in Diamonds Are Forever, Plenty O'Toole, played by Lana Wood, is memorable simply for her introduction. She meets Bond in a Las Vegas casino, but makes a swift exit through his bedroom window.

Tiffany Case   

An American diamond smuggler with skimpy dresses and ever-changing hair colour, Tiffany Case gets caught up in much more than she bargained for when Peter Franks arrives on her doorstep. In Diamonds Are Forever, Tiffany, played by Jill St. John, "helps" Bond follow the path of the smuggled diamonds until the trail leads to Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Bambi and Thumper

An inseperable, deadly duo, Bambi (played by stuntwoman Donna Garratt) and Thumper (played by dancer Trina Parks) are left to guard Willard Whyte in his forced seclusion. In Diamonds Are Forever, the pair almost prove too much for 007 when he happens upon their hidden lair.

Solitaire   

Making her big screen debut, Jane Seymour plays a rather naive tarot card reader in the service of Mr. Big in Live And Let Die. Trusting a little too much in a stacked deck, Solitaire succumbs to Bond's advances and loses her powers of perception, but gains freedom for her egotistical boss.

Rosie   

Bond's seemingly hapless contact, in Live And Let Die, Rosie turns out to be a lot more than she at first appears. Well played by Gloria Hendry, Rosie's air of innocence is finally revealed as a cleverly crafted ploy to deceive 007.

Miss Caruthers   

Illegally smuggled out the country, Bond's Italian contact (played by Hammer Horror star Madeline Smith) is, unsurprisingly, still working on an important assignment with 007. Caught out by M, Miss Moneypenny uses her powers of foreign diplomacy to avoid an international incident.

Mary Goodnight   

In The Man With The Golden Gun, Mary Goodnight is Bond's beautiful but inept contact in the Far East. She attempts to prove her worth, but ends up unwittingly bundled into the boot of a flying car. Played to frustrating perfection by Britt Ekland, Goodnight starts out in hostile rejection of Bond's amorous advances, but soon succombs to his sophisticated charms.

Anya Amasova   

Hailed as the first liberated Bond girl, Major Anya Amasova of the Russian Army is 007's Russian counterpart in The Spy Who Loved Me. Code named XXX, Anya, like Bond, has never failed on a mission, and cleverly outwits and outthinks 007 on more than one occasion. Played well by Barbara Bach (the second wife of Ringo Starr), Anya manages to play both the strong secret agent and the damsel in distress without an incongruous disparity.

The Log Cabin Girl   

Saucily played by Sue Vanner, Bond's log cabin interest in The Spy Who Loved Me is actually a Soviet double agent with orders to seduce 007. When she can no longer keep him otherwise occupied, the girl radios her KGB allies to inform them of Bond's whereabouts.

Naomi   

Stromberg's beautiful assistant, Naomi (played by the stunning Caroline Munro) is not only an excellent hostess, but also a helicopter pilot with a deadly aim. In The Spy Who Loved Me, after allowing 007 and XXX to leave Stromberg's Atlantis headquarters, she tries to gun them down in their Lotus Esprit.

Holly Goodhead   

The most intelligent of the Bond girls to date, Dr. Holly Goodhead (played by Lois Chiles) is a NASA trained astrophysicist working for the CIA. In Moonraker, she teams up with Bond and pilots the shuttle which takes them to Drax's hidden space station.

Corinne Dufour   

Moonraker's Corinne Dufour is Drax's personal helicopter pilot. Played by the beautiful Corinne Clery, Dufour is seduced by 007, and helps him to unlock Drax's secrets. Drax does not appreciate her sweet nature, however, and has her mercilessly hunted down by a pair of vicious dogs.

Manuela

Bond's contact when his assignment takes him to Brazil, Manuela (played by Emily Bolton is a smart, but not particularly tough, secret agent. In Moonraker, she almost comes to a sticky end when she runs into Jaws during the middle of the carnival season.

Dolly

By far the most unexpected of the Bond girls, Dolly (played by Blanche Ravalec) is a sweet girl with blond pigtails who takes an instant liking to the terrifying Jaws. In Moonraker, she helps the huge henchman out of the rubble of a cable car station he has just destroyed, and stays with him. Thanks largely to her influence, Jaws turns against his evil boss in a tense moment when he is ordered to throw Bond into the vast expanse of space.

Melina Havelock   

Melina Havelock, played by Chanel model Carole Bouquet, is a Greek marine biologist whose parents are killed in Kristatos' search for the ATAC. In For Your Eyes Only, while seeking revenge for their deaths, she saves Bond's life and follows him on the trail that leads to the stolen defense system.

Bibi Dahl   

The sweet and supposedly innocent Bibi (played by Lynn-Holly Johnson is Kristatos' ice skating protoge in For Your Eyes Only. With her tutor, Jacoba Brink, she is training under Kristatos' sponsorship for the winter Olympics. However, she tries to seduce 007, then walks out on her guardian who has lost her trust. She finally finds another sponsor in Columbo, another Greek smuggler.

Countess Lisl

A fake countess with a fake accent and a fake fortune, Countess Lisl (masterfully played by Cassandra Harris is supposed to be getting information out of Bond. Instead, he turns the table and finds out a good deal about the evil Kristatos before Lisl is ruthlessly killed by one of his hitmen.

Bond: So is your accent, Countess.


Domino Petachi   

Kim Basinger's first real big movie appearance was as Domino in Kevin McClory's remake, Never Say Never Again. Playing almost exactly the same character as Claudine Auger, Basinger's Domino is somewhat two-dimensional. Again, Domino is Largo's mistress, but betrays him when 007 informs her of her brother's death at the hands of her guardian's henchmen during a very memorable tango.

Fatima Blush   

Barbara Carrera makes SPECTRE assassin Fatima Blush an incredibly over-the-top villainess with a massive ego-complex. Stealing some of the scenes in Never Say Never Again, Blush is Max Largo's key henchwoman.

Bond: Yes, but my Martini's still dry.


Octopussy   

Octopussy runs a circus as a cover for an elaborate smuggling scheme, which puts her on the wrong side of 007. Although they are two of a kind, he rejects her business propositions in favour of his more amorous ones. Octopussy is played by Maud Adams, who also played Andrea Anders, Scaramanga's girlfriend in The Man With The Golden Gun.

Magda   

A member of Octopussy's travelling circus, Magda (played by Kristina Wayborn is not only a great performing magician and acrobat, she also hides a deadly secret. Working with Kamal Khan, she seduces Bond in order to steal the real Faberge egg that he had cleverly switched for a fake in the middle of an auction. The property of a lady should always be returned, one way or another.

Stacy Sutton   

A San Francisco based geologist, Stacy Sutton, played by the beautiful but talentless Tanya Roberts, is paid off by Max Zorin for old mines which he needs as part of his villainous plan. In A View To A Kill, she meets Bond at Zorin's party, and later helps 007 to unravel Project Main Strike, the villain's scheme to destroy Silicon Valley. Her quote should really be "Oh, James", as that's about all she ever says.

Pola Ivanova   

A Russian agent from Bond's past, Pola Ivanova, played by Fiona Fullerton, turns up just in time to save Bond from trouble in A View To A Kill. She falls foul of his slight of hand however, when he swaps her hard earned recording of Zorin's plans for a lovely collection of soothing Japanese music.

Kara Milovy   

A celebrated concert cellist, Kara Milovy is set up by her boyfriend, General Georgi Koskov, as the sniper to make his defection look real. Saved only by 007's instincts, in The Living Daylights, she is unwittingly enlisted by Bond to track down the missing General. Played naively by Maryam D'Abo, Olivia's cousin, Kara falls for Bond on the search for Koskov.

Pam Bouvier   

Pam Bouvier is the only living contact the CIA have on Franz Sanchez. In Licence To Kill Bond uses her information to get into the drug baron's organisation and exact his revenge. Carey Lowell plays Pam as a stronger Bond girl than most, and makes her presence felt by her character as well as her looks.

Lupe Lamora   

Talisa Soto plays Lupe, Sanchez's mistress in Licence To Kill. A pretty girl who is punished unmercifully by her lover for trying to run away, Lupe helps Bond to win Sanchez's confidence in an effort to escape his clutches.

Natalya Siminova   

Natalya, played by Polish model and rock singer Izabella Scorupco, is a level two programmer at the Severnaya Space Installation before it is destroyed by a blast from one of the two GoldenEye satellites. She is tied up with Bond in a stolen Tiger helicopter, and later helps him to track down the villain's hidden base and thwart his dastardly plan.

Xenia Onatopp   

An ex-Soviet pilot and KGB assassin, Xenia Onatopp kills her victims by crushing them to death with her shapely thighs. In GoldenEye, she now works for the Janus syndicate in their plot to steal a fortune from the Bank of England. Played by Columbia University graduate Famke Janssen, Xenia gets a kick from killing and lives life on the edge.

Irina

Valentin Zukovsky's mistress, Irina (played in a stroke of casting genius by the talented Minnie Driver is not exactly the singing megastar she thinks she is. In GoldenEye, her rendition of Tammy Wynette's Stand By Your Man leaves a lot to be desired.

Paris Carver   

Wife of the worldwide media baron, Elliot Carver, Paris has a secret past which proves her undoing. In Tomorrow Never Dies, a relationship with her old flame, James Bond, leads to an untimely demise at the hands of Dr. Kaufman. Paris is played well by Teri Hatcher, made famous by role as Lois Lane in TV's Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

Wai Lin   

Posing as a reporter, Wai Lin of the Chinese secret service goes undercover to investigate the suspicious circumstances behind hostilities between her country's armed forces and the British Navy. Not your typical Bond girl, martial arts specialist Michelle Yeoh gives Wai Lin an explosive on-screen presence in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Professor Bergstrom   

Professor Inga Bergstrom is a University professor at Oxford. 007 seeks out her superior abilities (as a teacher of the Danish language). In Tomorrow Never Dies, Bond's love interest is played by Cecilie Thomsen, best known as Bryan Adams' girlfriend.

Dr. Christmas Jones

A doctor of nuclear physics, Christmas Jones (played by Denise Richards) gets tangled up in the world of espionage in The World Is Not Enough, aiding 007 in his mission to stop Renard.

Elektra King

Elektra King (played by the wonderful Sophie Marceau) is the daughter of mudered oil magnate, Sir Robert King. In The World Is Not Enough, when 007 learns that she is being hunted by the cunning Renard, he feels that it is his responsibility to keep her safe.
