Many people consider Sean Connery as the Best James Bond ever. With his gangly walk, along with this excellent physical skills make him somone you never wanted to meet in a bar room fight.
Connery was disgruntled with being James Bond at the end of You Only Live Twice. In a statment , Connery was asked exactly what he thought of Japanese women, he said, "Japanese women are just not sexy." In this he created "Connery Vs. Japan." This situation made it very difficult to work in Japan, eventualy making him take a 4 year hiatus.
Connery returned in Diamonds are Forever, which wasn't a whole movie. It didn't have the completeness of a James Bond film. It almost seemed like they were getting ready for the Roger Moore Era.
