House of Blues
Orlando, Florida
Shan and I got to HOB at about 3pm.. there weren't quite that many people in line at that point so we grabbed a couple of chairs and prepared to sit for the next 4 hours before they opened the doors. NOTE that as of that time there weren't but 25 or so people in front of us.. BUT by the time the doors opened there were about 50 people in front of us because SOME people feel that they for whatever reason are allowed to cut in front of the line because they "know someone" in the front of the line. This isn't the first time that I've witnessed this happening at a General Admission concert for RS that I have been to in the past year.. and it isn't really fair for those of us who sat in line all that time... those of you who did it.. you know who you are and really should consider how you would feel if it was done to you.
Anyway.. the doors opened a little after 7pm... we got pretty good seats at around the third row or so and prepared for RS to come on. At 8:30pm the opening act came on and played until around 9pm. After a long wait..RS finally came on a little after 10pm. We were all worried that something happened and that there wasn't going to be a show.. but then we heard the beginning notes to Affair. He opened with Affair of the Heart looking adorable as ever in his suit and 80's tie :) Went right into IDEFY and then Alyson.
He then did a Beatles number...DTTS and IGE. IGE was tonight more like it used to be before it got way out of hand with only one girl under the guitar.. and another behind him. He sat on the stage and did Inside Sylvia.. and then Free. He followed with Love Somebody, State of the Heart, Human Touch and as always closed with JG.
For the encore he came out with orange cargo pants and a blue T-shirt.. He looked quite adorable..:) And did IAS, Love Is Alright Tonight, Kristina and All Day All Night. The show itself was awesome.. but the venue left a lot to be desired with long delay...people cutting in line and all of the pushing and shoving during the concert itself..to put it mildly.. if I never see the HOB again it will be too soon.
