Shan's Review:
OK I posted to the Onelist that I was GOING to sing w/Rick for I Get Excited and well...GUESS WHAT?? ( BIG OLE GRIN ON MY FACE SINCE THEN) YUP !! I did it .so here is how the story goes:
Jenn (JennMM2) & my sister Tiffany and my daughter Chelsea (age 6) and I hopped in the car last Sunday (10ish) to take the 4 hour drive to Miami to see THE MAN yet again :) (#5 for Jenn and I since May 1st) But HEY we were "RICK BOUND" :) It was late and we were tired but we just jammed to Rick and had fun anyway :)
OK so we get there and scope the scene to find where HE would be singing :)
and low and behold BAM we have access to the VERY front row RIGHT in front of
the stage :) YIPEEE ( keep in mind there were THOUSANDS of people there at the casino ) Rick was due to play at 9 pm ish..and Little Richard was on stage but he was... umm .. "pumped" to say the least and wouldn't leave.. :) LOL " Is EVERYBODY having a good TIME!!??" LMAO he was hillarous and he had the place rocking too :) not bad for a 67 year old :)
The casino people had fireworks planned for 10 pm sharp so Rick's team was hurrying to get the show on the road so he could be on stage for the fireworks but they seemed to be having some technical difficulites..So at this point some of us in the front row saw Jack & Lance come out and we yelled out "HI JACK!!" he smiled REAL big and soon after that came to the front of the stage and had some drum sticks in his hand (I, of course, the
brat that I am, was going "I WANT ONE JACK" and he laughed and said " NO I NEED these!" " you can have one after the show" SO I GO " OK, DON'T forget me" :) and he smiled & goes "I WON'T!" he came back not 5 mins later and threw some out to the crowd, one fell on the ground he meant for me to catch and the staffer/sec. guy grabbed it and Jack goes to him " THAT ONE GOES TO HER" and pointed at me !! YEAH!! I was so happy at this point :) so then they go to their places to begin the show...
THEN ...the magical music to AOTH starts and THE MAN comes out RIGHT as they end the fireworks with his usual grin, in the usual pleather :) no glasses though :( BUT he ROCKED and we (including Chelsea) were JAMMIN' :) I threw a dozen peach roses at him along with the silly string and he made his 1st ROSE explosion with MY ROSES(hehehe) and I later also sprayed him with my silly string and he motioned for me to throw it to him and I did & he had a blast with it and played his guitar with it too
One of the staff/security men in front of the stage who was right in front of us was pretty nice and was talking to us and had seen my sign earlier, which read:
"No baby you don't look that nervous when you bite your lip..."
SEE RICK!!
WE KNOW THE WORDS
WE WANNA SING
" I Get Excited"
And proceeds to say to me "Oh yeah YOU think He's gonna take the time to read
that sign and pull you onstage??" and I'm like "UMMM.... YEAH YOU DORK :) he
WILL and HE IS" :) He laughed at me but he didn't know how determined I was
:) Ok so, at one point Rick's jammin to Don't talk to Strangers and see's that Chelsea was
singing the words!! he's smiling at her and looks at ME and motions that he's
gonna throw the Microphone at me for her to sing..it hit me in the lip ( what
pain??:) ) THE MAN threw it so needless to say, I never felt one OUNCE of pain, no
blood, nothing :) so anyway Chelsea belts out " Don't talk to strangers" about 4 times and the staffer/sec guy gives the Mic back to Rick ( keep in mind I
was FLIPPING OUT too :) ~LOL~ At that point Rick sees, and MIND YOU, ~R E A D S~ my sign :) and SMILES AT ME !! ( CAN YOU SAY, SCREAMING MY HEAD OFF??) he
played the rest of the song and then BELTS OUT "Well you admit your like a
game but your not gonna play" etc.... I'M AT THIS POINT STANDING ON the FENCE
and WAVING THE SIGN FRANTICALLY and SCREAMING MY BUTT OFF :) he stops the
music and ( I swear he messes with the people he plans on picking) looks at
the other side of the stage and points at someone I WAS GOING NUTS and then
his gaze slowly (felt like it anyway) comes back to me and POINTS at ME and
says "YOU!! come UP HERE"~~ OMGG you guys.. I have never in my 26 years RAN
so fast EVER :)
I was over that fence faster than you can say " Springthorpe"
I FLEW behind the stage and was up the stairs in 30 seconds one of Rick's
people said to me " Soo you wanna be Jessie's Girl huh?" I was LMAO & said "I
AM GONNA BE IN a minute" as I was running by him :) and sadly one of the
radio station girls made it to HIM before me, so I didn't get to be a
"RICKWICH" with he and the guitar... :( bummer.. BUT never fear.. SHE didn't
KNOW the WORDS (DUH) he MADE IT CLEAR you had to know the words!! So me, in
my rotten voice, BELTS out the verse at the top of my lungs and we continue
to jam :) I was DYING !!! He put his arm around me at that point and sang
along with me it was AMAZING and I was in ABSOLUTE HEAVEN :) I got behind him
and said to myself "Shan, grab that bootie girl " and I knew it my ONE chance
to do it, so I placed my hands on his hips and rocked in heaven for a few
mins LOL (I have PICS TOO) It was amazing and I will never, ever, ever
forget that 4 mins of absolute BLISS as long as I live :) When the song ended
he was hugging the four of us (three of which were radio girls I think) and I
was like I'm not leaving till I get a hug :) and he hugged me and I kissed
his NECK and (coudln't help it) I MOANED into his neck he was DELICIOUS and
YELLED " I LOVE YOU!!" what a dork huh ??:) and ran off stage & he went on to
sing " IAS and about 3 or 4 more and had the crowd ROCKING :) Big time...
He
played Love Somebody last and THOUGHT he was leaving (HARDY HAR HAR) changed
his clothes into the SHINEY silver shirt that I'm loving, his kick a*#
carpenter jeans and blue airwalks and continues to sing "Kristina" then "Do
wah Ditty" then "All day and all of the night" blew the crowd kisses and
left........ahhh...
I FLOATED back to the hotel & needless to say I'm still on cloud 9 :-)
Thanks to the people who took the time to read my LONG story but I am soooo excited I LOVE this man and it was a dream come true after about 13 years of fandom :)

my Dreambook!
Well.... where do I begin?? :) Sunday night Shan (StylistSA), her daugther
Chelsea and Shan's sister Tiffany and I made the journey and got into Ft.
Lauderdale at about 2:30 in the morning.
At about 4:30pm Moday we met with George and Kathy (who were 2 rooms away
from us) and followed them to Bruce's house to follow the limo to the
Miccosukee Resort because we hadn't a clue where we were going! The traffic
was UNBELIEVABLE!! What we thought was going to be a 20 minute drive turned
out to be 2 1/2 hours! But, once we got in front of the stage... the drive
was a distant memory. :)
When we got to the stage, Little Richard was on belting them out like you
wouldn't believe... for a 76 year old man! And, we quickly made our spot in
the front row! On any other day I probably would have gotten a bigger kick
out of it than I did.. but I wanted to see "THE MAN!!" :) So, needless to say
anticipation of waiting was killing me epecially since the show was delayed
by about an hour.
At 10pm they had a great fireworks show. During the fireworks Jack White
was up on the stage, Shan yelled out to him for a drumstick and he said that
he would give her one after the show... but then came back a few minutes
later with a bunch of them in his hands and started tossing them out. The
one that he threw to Shan fell on the ground and he pointed at Shan and told
the security guard that it went to her! :) Then he threw me one which I was
excited about until we were getting ready to leave and it was gone out of my
bag! (I pouted for a few minutes after the show.. but got over it) :)
THEN, after DTTS, he went right into "I Get Excited" Shan was standing there
(or should I say standing on the gate..LOL!) :) with her sign for Rick to
read.... he finished the first verse, everyone who knew what was supposed to
happen next were screaming... Rick looked around for a minute (teasing her I
think) and THEN he pointed RIGHT AT HER and motioned for her to get up on
the stage!!! :) I swear, in the 7 years that she has been my best friend...
I never knew that she could hop over a gate like that... that fast!! :) She
was out of there! :) (I contemplated follwing her but I took one look at the
gate and another at the crowd and knew that my clumsy self was not going to
go over that gate gracefully and decieded against it.) :) There she was up
on the stage with Rick... and I was and still am, SO excited for her! She
has been dreaming about going up on the stage with him since our first show
in Atlanta on May 1st! One of the girls from the radio station ran up there
before Shan got there so she didn't get to be in between him and his
guitar... but the.... well.. we won't call names.. :) didn't know the
words... so Shan still got to have one of Rick's arms around her while Rick
was trying to get her in front of the microphome because he knew that she
knew the words. :) I just couldn't belive that... there stood my best friend
grooving behind Rick Springfield!! :) When it was over, she got a great big
hug from "THE MAN" himself and floated off the stage back over to us. (She
still hasn't come down off of the cloud.. NOT that I blame her... LOL...it
was definately her night!)
He did a few more songs the finished up with "Love Somebody" He came back
out with black carpenter type jeans, airwalk sneakers, and a really cool
silver shirt. And, I swear he made eye contact and smiled at me during
"Kristina" (I was rockin'.. it's one of my favorites!)
All and all it was a GREAT show!! And, we (especially Shan) had a blast! I
can't wait until the next show!
I will be wishing I had Barbie's man until then! :)

Jenn's Review:
As soon as the fireworks were over the "Affair of the Heart" music started
playing.. and there he was.... "THE MAN" himself!! :) Of course, he looked
as beautiful as ever in his Pleather suit. The jacket didn't stay on for
very long.. it was sooo HOT! We threw roses up on the stage which he quickly
made use of. :) We brought silly string and he quickly noticed Shan's and
put his hand out for her to toss it up to him. :) He shot a few poeple with
it.. then used it to play his guitar during "Allison" Shortly thereafter,
he did "Don't Talk To Strangers" and he noticed Shan's daughter Chelsea
singing the words, so while he was standing there grinning, he threw the
microphone to Shan for Chelsea to sing! It was so great!
