The Riveria Club

It's been since Oct 1st in Miami and Oct 2nd in Valdosta that Jenn and I have been to a concert and we FINALLY got to get our "Rick FIX" this weekend in Atlanta!! WHEW He was AMAZING and I honestly thought the Miami one on Oct 1st was THE BEST! Rick's voice was truly awesome that night and I didn't think it could be touched after that, but let me tell ya The Riviera Club was the BEST concert we have been to out of the 10 we have been to...He was hitting every note and I almost passed out when he sang State of the Heart!! WOW SOOO much emotion in it..it was almost overwhelming..

OK I will start at the beginning :)

Jenn and I live in south Fl (near Tampa) and go to as many Rick concerts as possible (trust me LOL) We have been to 10 since May 1st last year and still counting....:)

My wonderful and understanding financee Steve rented us a big OLE FBI looking car so we'd be safe (thank God ! Seeing as Atlanta got hit with some pretty crummy weather that weekend) and we pulled into Atlanta at Oh, lets see 7:45 PM when we HAD wanted to get there at about 5pm or so but my UMMMM minor mishap with the oh so kind officer of Dooley County who gladly JUST gave me a speeding ticket instead of carting me off to JAIL for SPEEDING so FAST ...it set us back a little, cuz after that I CRAWLED to Atlanta!!! LOL WHICH by the way I GOT out of Jail by saying when he asked "Sooooo Ms. Adams, WHAT are you in such a hurry for today?" " to which I replied " Umm do you remember Rick Springfield?" and he goes "YES IM NOT THAT OLD THANK YOU!!" I said "well..My best friend and I are major fans and travel all over the U. S to go to his concerts, well we are on our way to one in Atlanta tonight, and I was getting excited and also talking about my wedding in 3 months so I guess I was speeding but I didn't know it, I'M SORRY :'( :'( " and he looked at me and stated that seeing as I was going so fast the law states that I should be taken off to jail and not be able to pass go and collect my $ until I pay my fines!! But since I had such a good excuse I'd just be lucky to get the speeding ticket and no jail!! YEAH ( THANKS RICK) :)

Welll...we made it to the concert late and changed in the car LOL but HEy we made the 8 hour drive in one peice at least :)

Well we weren't as close to the stage as we usually are but I tell ya, seeing all the other fans in front of us getting sooo into it and amazingly all the MEN I saw getting into it was fascinating!! I was like "Man Jenn look at this crowd!!!!!" it was PACKED and EVERYONE was INTO it!! Rick and the guys were just WONDERFUL !! Every song was GREAT!!! Even though we got stuck in Rome (had driven up there to see my Uncle Walt Sat) the whole weekend and had a miserable time driving on the Interstate BUT when the "Jungle music" comes on and the guys start the music to AOTH I tell ya NOTHING else matters to me! the happiness that washes over me when Rick walks AKA STRUTS on stage all my stress, bills, worries, sadness etc..all that leaves my body and I am on cloud 9 for the whole concert I smiled and sang along with him and I swear he gets better looking and sounding every time I see him..I tell ya..his lyrics touch me in a way no other music has or I think, ever will!!
