This was our Rick weekend, we went to two conerts in 48 hours...Sunrise is about 3.5 hours away from us..We both agree it was the BEST show out of all 9 so far. He ROCKED and the venue was great...he was at his best vocally that night..hit every note even the high ones :)
He did the usual list of songs..But I must say "Inside Sylvia" was a treat...He didn't do Kristina tho :( I personally thought "Itsalwaysomething" was particularly AWESOME his VOICE during the WHOLE concert was at it's PEAK as far as the shows I have been to his voice and his performance was #1 Friday night.
Jenn and I made a big ole sing that said " WE LOVE YOU RICK! Can we sign "I GET EXCITED with you?" he pointed to us and said all you people with big unusual signs come on up" or something like that (I had gotten up for IGE in Miami on June 14th, But Jenn didn't jump the fence like I did and I figured HEY I can go up twice...some women on here have been up like SEVERAL times so, what the heck! :) We were to Rick's left and we just sang and danced and had fun!
:-) After the concert we waited by the back door and HE came out for a few minutes..I have a WONDERFUL pic of he and I that I had taken in Vegas last month and I blew it up to an 8X10 and he signed it :) Now I can frame it and hang it in my room YEAH!! :)
I, strangely enough, saw a woman I know from our town over here on the West coast LOL she saw me by the stage trying desperately to get a guitar pick that I saw (and did GET btw) and I heard "Shannon? Is that you" seeing as we were HOURS away from our town I thought it was crazy to see her, as we talked, she told me she and her cousin drove down that day (cousin Robin is a fellow onelister) is a BIG fan and flew in from MI to come to the show and CAN U BELIEVE they were staying at the same Hotel as Rick and the gang...SOOOO after the show..we decided to go to the Hotel and see if maybe I could get a pic with Dave..and maybe see THE MAN but as luck would have it..the Rickster had gone up to bed before we got there.. :( BUT...
Dave sat with us for a while and chatted with us about all sorts of stuff... the video, Rick resting his voice :-) just stuff :-) It was COOL :) He is funny!! and now I have completed my collection, I have a pic of me with all four of them :) I am happy!
Welll we drove home on cloud 9 and pulled in at 5 am :) got 4 hours of sleep and got up to HEAD up to Georgia :)
