One Life to Live

As you may or may not be aware, One Life to Live is the best soap opera on television. It was my mom's favorite, and now it's mine. And as good as it is right now, it's gonna be that much better when Nora and Bo get back together. (Note: not IF -- WHEN) Right now I actually hate the show and have to consciously tell myself that it is good story and Sam and Lindsay are actually wonderful characters. Which is true. But as it stands it's pretty hard not to constantly scream at my tv (e.g., "STOP THAT!!!" "But it IS your baby, Bo!!", etc).

Mark Derwin as "just Ben" has single-handedly revitalized a show that really needed no revitalizing. He has managed to tangle himself into several different storylines: a romance with Viki (aka "Blondie"); working with Kevin, as Hamlet, to reveal his family's dirty secrets; Bo's mysterious rescuer; and now apparently Sam's (or should I say Chip's!) brother. And somehow none of these characters are aware that Ben is involved in anyone else's life but their own.

Honestly, I cannot think of a single bad story presently on OLTL's canvas. Kelly and Max are hilarious together and surprisingly just might be made for one another, Tea has long deserved the love of a good man and John fits the bill, Dorian's schemes to hurt archrival Viki as much as she supposedly hurt her ... well it's mean and misplaced, but it's still fun. Even R.J., a character I once despised, has been winning me over. Kudos, OLTL, and keep it up!
