Animagus Images
I developed my style of freelance photography to be affordable to everyone, especially if the event photographed is not formal.  Even if you’re a journalist that needs some on-site photos.  Even if you desire something a little nicer than basic gray background for a senior portrait.
The style of photojournalism for weddings, portraits, and social events is taking over the traditional ‘stand together, smile, and click’ format.  The result of unimposed photography leads to a wealth of pictures that are natural, unique, and easier at catching the true moment.  Subjects tend to be more relaxed, happy, and extremely interesting.
How It Works
I work on one project at a time, one customer at a time. It insures that I'm not rushing between deadlines and other clients.  I cover all venues, all needs that may require photography. The way pricing for projects works is like most photographers, you are paying me for my time, equipment, and expertise. Because I am freelance, own my own equipment, and do not wish to work from a studio, my project estimates tend to be considerably less and a lot more creative.
Why just the skin and bones of photography? Why not an all out studio and business? In my experience, the projects that I am most interested in are out in the world, and it's usually just what a customer needs.  As well, people need more readily accessable art in this world...
Developing Options
Digital Format
- Photo CD, no alterations
- Photo CD with touch ups (i.e. facial imperfections, distracting objects)
- Photo CD with touch ups and special effects (i.e. sepia tone, warm lighting, stylistic blurs).
- Photo CD with touch ups, special effects, and custom collages (i.e. bride and groom with faint background of parents, flowers, etc.) Every photo in this option will be edited if unless requested otherwise.

All photo CDs entitle the owner to multiple reproductions of their photos within their own time and budget.  They also can be viewed as slide shows on some DVD players and all computers.  If the volume of photos produced is considerably more than normal (50 pictures or more for portrait, 200 or more for weddings) then prices for picture CDs will be changed, and the client notified as soon as possible. All photos are recorded in a high quality/resolution JPEG format.
The Advantage of Digital
While film still has its advantages over digital, the price of film processing is an additional factor.  In digital, you receive fewer ‘throw away’ photos that might not make it into your scrapbooks or picture frames.  It is also faster for the photographer to make adjustments that might save the perfect photograph.  Still, film can be converted into digital by expensive measures, and some clients prefer both.  Although, I do not do any digital altering or collages with film, even if it is converted to a photo CD.  Please keep these aspects in mind while choosing your desired format.  Pricing will be made according to film type and processing at the time of the order.

Film Options
- Film exposures developed in general 4 x 6 or 3 x 5 format (double or singles) with negatives.
- Film exposures developed with 4 x 6 format, including negatives and a digital picture CD.
- Film transferred to photo CD, no prints.
Terms & Conditions
Consultations
In order to properly photograph your event, a consultation is needed at least one week prior to the event.

Exclusive Photographer
To eliminate confusion on the day of the event, it is to be understood that Animagus Images is the exclusive photographer.  Anyone else wishing to take pictures will first consult photographer and abide by their judgment.  It is the responsibility of the family that they enforce this agreement during the paid coverage of the event.

Copywrite & Advertising Rights
The photos produced are the original production of Animagus Images.  It is further agreed that you, acting as a representative for all members of the event, grant us rights for display, publication, and advertising use of all photographs taken under this agreement.

Ordering and Payments
One order (each wedding/event photographed) will be considered one order, no matter how many individual parties are to receive photos.  One party will be responsible for the entire order, and no partial orders will be given out until the balance is fully paid.  Deposit of any order is due when the order is placed.

Cancellations
In the case of postponement or cancellation of the event, notification is required 5 days prior to the scheduled date of the photography.  Deposits are applied toward services rendered within the time frame of the purchase (i.e. studio sessions before a wedding).

Reminders
Prices shown for packages are estimates.  These estimates are based on info available at this time.  Because of changing economy and the chance to tailor to your needs, prices are subject to change.  If prices do change, we will attempt to notify you 20 days prior to the event that is to be photographed.

Style of Animagus Images
The style of my photos does not rely on traditional poses, and for any event photographed, I would like my clients to understand that my photos will be more artistic than formal.  If formal is what you want, that’s fine, my business will do its best to fit your needs.  But I would encourage in every case, to take a chance on separating yourself from the norm.  As a photojournalist, my mission is to observe, find, and capture the moment.  The main goal for me is to have people view your pictures and say, “Your photographs don’t looked posed,” or “You look like you had a great time.”

The Name
For those who aren’t familiar with the meaning of 'Animagus,' it is an animal or a form that a witch or wizard can adopt at will.  Originating from the Harry Potter series, I discovered that this name best describes the style that I strive to produce.  A product that can morph at will within it’s own skill and creativity.
It is only a description, and does not look to profit from Ms. Rowling.
Contacting the Photographer
If you are interested even in the slightist bit, you're welcome to contact me. I prefer meeting face to face with potential clients, that way I'm able to assess the style of their photo image, their needs, and just a way of identifiying with who they are.
I do not send my portfolio pictures to those who '"just want to look," because it's a great way of losing my copywright, and no connection is made whatsoever.
Keep in mind I am not a traditional photographer because the traditional ways don't work anymore. If traditional is what you desire, I suggest taking a chance on something new, or just sticking with Sears portrait studio...
