Castaway
Nathan Fellingham
Look at me I'm a castaway
I'm somewhere I shouldn't belong
I was put here yesterday and there's a man smiling at me
I said, "Why am I here? When You are so holy
I will never hit the mark".
He said, "Yes, this is true, but my friend, I've done it instead."
Run, run run, the law it beckons me, but gives me no limbs
Fly, fly, fly. Your gospel bids to me
And lovingly, gives me some wings
So I will fly, held on the wings of grace
That teaches me when to say yes and say no
And I will rise on eagles' wings
You're helping me win the prize
But always with love in Your eyes
Love in Your eyes
Look at me on a journey now
The road looks narrow ahead
But each time I lift my eyes
I feel a hand steadying me
I said, "Teach me Lord, that I may be holy, with silver and gold I must build">
He said, "All that I've started in you, I'll see to the end."
I'll wait for you
Nathan Fellingham
You went away
Yesterday
With something to prove
Set your path
Sailed away
Far away
And there you entertained danger
Suffered at the hand of a stranger
And now you can't see a way home
This is not what I designed for you.
But I'll wait for you
Yes, I'll wait for you
Now looking back at all the times
You would talk to me
And I look
Out for you
Every day
But you are too ashamed
To lift your head up
Look me in the eyes and
Tell me that you still want me
To love you whatever you have done
I've got a ring my daddy gave me
I'll put it on your finger
And a coat to keep you warm
I've got a pair of comfy shoes
You can put them on your feet
And I'll prepare for us a feast.
