DARRELL BROWN:
Mr. Stezaks
I was born
in Gardena Ca. I later moved to South Central Los Angeles.
At the age of eight I was awarded to the state and forced into a grouphome.
Being so young on my own and living among strangers taught me to fen for
myself. I believe I grew up to fast out here. Hustling and
learning these streets with people I looked up too. Through time
I found ways of keeping change in my pocket. I met Slim (Marvin Fair)
at the age of nine. At first I just hung around like a little baybay
getting into trouble. My group home finaly aloud me to leave on the
weekend. I would hang wit Slim and start picking up on this rap thang.
My rap compositions are made up of many frustrations, pains, and
my struggles through life. I feel I'm a young hiphop versions of
Curtis Mayfield or Marvin Gaye, because I tell both the good and bad with
no cut. Inspired by my camp first then by the late 2'Pac, Eazy E,
The Don Mega, Nas, and the late Notorious B.I.G. I just want the
world to no that the youth is not lost. Just striving the best way
we no how.
