Billie Reid

Fresh-faced newcomer, Krista Allen has taken L.A. by storm and made it her town. In barely a year's time, she has already worked alongside the likes of Jim Carrey, Burt Reynolds, David Faustino, Christina Applegate, Dick Van Dyke and many others. With such ambition, talent and innocent beauty, one immediately realizes why the casting directors of top-rated daytime drama "Days of Our Lives" chose Krista as their new Billie Reed (formerly portrayed by Lisa Rinna), the self-proclaimed founder of her own cosmetic company who just returned from Paris a more worldly and sophisticated woman. "Billie's such a tough girl, but she's got this heart of gold that just doesn't quit. I really admire all the hurdles she has overcome to make herself a better person. I hope to learn a lot from her and her outlook on life," Krista says excitedly.
Krista's undeniable presence and fresh angelic beauty explains the non-stop work schedule that has kept her constantly busy as an actress for the brief year that she has resided in California. Her career in front of the camera began in her teens in her hometown of Houston. After winning several local beauty contests, she was chosen from thousands of girls from all over Texas to be the national "Texas Budweiser girl." Featured in their national campaign including billboards, ads, catalogues and a calendar, her inspiring looks again led to more print work in front of the camera. While teaching aerobics at World Gym, Krista was asked to be the model for all advertisements campaign, making her a celebrity in her hometown as well as throughout the state of Texas. Krista's strong ambitious work ethic, however, was present prior to her hectic and bustling modeling career. She studied to become a kindergarten teacher and worked various jobs including baby-sitting, waitressing and designing juniors' fashions while attending junior high and high school.
A determined and unstoppable drive to further her modeling career inspired Krista to pack her bags and move to Los Angeles for a shot at a career in front of a moving camera. With no real formal training, barely a thousand dollars in her pocket, a pair of cowboy boots and some family photos, she moved to "Tinsel Town." On her third day in town, she landed a recurring role on "The Bold and the Beautiful." From there, the ball just kept on rolling with stints on "Silk Stalkings," "Diagnosis Murder," "Pacific Blue," "Married with Children," and "Weird Science." Her natural, innate talent along with a little bit of luck led Krista to the silver screen. Without headshots or a tape of her work, she landed her first feature film opposite Jim Carrey in "Liar, Liar."
Her fantastic whirlwind career never seems to relent. Shortly after her stint in "Liar, Liar," Krista went to audition for a minor role in the Burt Reynolds film "Raven." After reading for the role, the casting director literally chased her into the parking lot to do a cold reading for the lead in the film. She got the part and spent the next eight weeks portraying a C.I.A. agent in this action thriller.
Krista's natural beauty combined with her adventurous spirit have propelled her from a local beauty queen to a first-rate television actress. Not bad for only a year in Los Angeles.

NOTE: Billie is no longer on DOOL she quit to be in another show. We miss her!!
