Julianne Morris joins the cast of NBC's top-rated daytime drama "Days of Our Lives" as the mysterious Swamp Girl, who may just be the missing link into Hope's obscure past.
Julianne is no stranger to the rigors of day time television. She started on " The Young & The Restless " as troubled school-girl Amy Wilson from 1994 to 1996. After her stint at Y&R came to an end, Julianne jet-setted to Cape Town, South Africa to portray the villainous Rumina on the syndicated series "The Adventures of Sinbad" for one season. "I was an evil vixen who would use my evil powers to seduce Sinbad. " A far cry from a shy girl who grew up in a small suburb outside of Orlando, Florida.

Julianne was born in South Carolina, but at three months of age, moved to Windermere, Florida, where she grew up the youngest of two children (brother Scott is 18 months her senior.) The daughter of a business man/evangelist father, Max, and her 'Super-Mom,' NilaVae, Julianne was a shy child who described herself as her "mother's shadow." That is, until she discovered a plethora of after-school arts programs. Julianne states, "My parents were great because they exposed me to so many different activities such as baton, piano, cheerleading, tap, ballet; I did everything, but my parents never forced me to do anything. It was always up to me. " When Julianne was in middle school, she signed up for theatre classes at the Civic Theatre, and instantly, acting became her passion.
After graduating from high school, Julianne attended the North Carolina School of the Arts for one year and then moved to the Big Apple were she enrolled in the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After three years at the Academy, Julianne headed to Hollywood. The Young and The Restless was her first professional job in Los Angeles. Episodic television appearances Baywatch Nights and LA Heat.

In her spare time, Julianne enjoys traveling (Napa Valley is her favorite local spot) and is very involved in her church and bible study group. She is passionate about speaking to youth groups and high schools around the country about the moral issues facing teenagers inn today's society. A new goal for Julianne is to improve her softball game, having just joined a league with fellow actors and friends. "I'm a better hitter than I am a catcher, " the actress admits, "so they put me where people don't usually hit the ball."
Julianne is presently active with a Los Angeles based group called "Stitches," which is a South- Central, Los Angeles after school program that assists underprivileged children and their families. Helping children in need had been a priority for Julianne for many years. In 1993, she spent a month in Belize, Central America, leading a group of teenagers as they built a pre-school. Her family also spent time in India and worked with children.
But Salem is where Julianne hopes to spend many future days of her life. "I am so excited to be on Days with it's huge fan following and I couldn't ask to work with a better group of people than Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso, whom I consider total pros. "
Julianne stands 5 feet 6 inches and has brown hair and hazel eyes. She celebrates her birthday on May 8th.
